DID MAN SIN IN THE GARDEN OF ADEN?

Many theories have been written and discussed concerning the original sin in the garden of Aden. According to the creation theory, Eve the first woman was given the fruit of knowledge by the snake and she ate it. She later gave the fruit to her husband Adam. God had told them never to eat the fruit rest they would die.
Many theorists have come up with suggestions about what this fruit was. Some say that it was an ordinary fruit while others suggests that because after the first couple ate the fruit they realized they were naked, the fruit must have been sex. Nothing can be further from the truth.
The conundrum I am trying to solve here is whether the man really sinned by eating the forbidden fruit. Some atheists argue that if the Creator is an all-loving God, he could not have placed the cheating snake together with humans in the garden of Aden. Others say that as an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God, the Creator could have prevented the snake from lying to the couple. Moses was the writer of the Genesis book. When he wrote the first book, he never took into account what repercussions that would bring later on.
The fruit that was eaten by Adam and Eve in the garden of Aden was no other than the fruit of knowledge. It is the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. Immediately after they ate this fruit and sinned to God an angel was told to stay at the entrance of the garden to prevent them from coming back and eat the fruit of life. The fruit of life would make them immortal. This verse has been misinterpreted by peoples and as a result caused atheists to have a great hate for God. They ask how a loving God can place humans in the garden of Aden with a cheating serpent then allow it to lie to them.
Methinks that this fruit was not a sin but a gift of what we refer to as free will – the knowledge of good and evil. Man was given a free will to choose what he wants. Choosing of evil brings him injury and doing what is right is rewarded. There is no other creature in the whole universe who has got free will except man. For instance, angels are holy and must do what is right and demons are evil. So, it is only man who has got the free will to choose what he want – good or evil.
Methinks that God gave man a special gift, which He never even gave to angels – the gift of free will.
